I live with bipolar disorder and take multiple daily medications to help manage and stabilize my illness. Occasionally, things can still happen that cause symptoms to break through despite treatment, and I wanted to share that context for some of my earlier content.
When I first started creating recipes for this site, I was in a whirlwind of energy with ideas that felt unstoppable. Looking back, it shows in the way those earlier posts were written. They were very detailed and highly complex, with measurements down to the exact gram and extra steps that were not always necessary. Cooking and baking are not meant to feel clinical or overwhelming. Food is not just a science. It is love, flavor, creativity, and intuition.
My more recent posts reflect a shift toward that philosophy. They are simpler, more intentional, and designed to feel approachable and enjoyable. This is the direction I see my recipes continuing in as this space grows.
